It's more than today's issue

When you call us up, you might be thinking about just your issue of the day: the sore knee, the headache, the stomach pain, the stinging pain when you’re sitting and the list goes on.
The pain gets worse as you’re waiting to see your doctor. It continues to grow when you enter the consult room and all you can focus on is your pain and the need to feel better by getting rid of the pain.
However, your GP considers more than today’s problem – because that’s what we’re trained to do.
That knee pain? It could be linked to your overall joint health or inflammation levels.
That headache? It could be stress, but could also be linked to your blood pressure, hydration, or vision changes.
That heartburn? If could be reflux, but we also check for signs of other digestive issues.
Instinctively, we are wired to look into the root problem and not just to provide a temporal, surface-level solution. A GP visit is about more than today’s symptom – it’s about keeping your health on track over time.
By checking it out, we are able to better manage your health in the longtime. Just like how you wouldn’t put a band aid over a deep wound that is bleeding up just because you simply want the blood to stop flowing. The root cause to stop the blood from flowing will need to be identified.
That’s why seeing the same GP regularly matters – your health is unique to you; the more we know about you, the more we can pick up on the changes and catch things early.
It’s okay if it’s been a while since you’ve seen a doctor, it’s never too late. Get back on track, check in and make sure your health is on track.
