Fees
Queens Park Medical Centre is a mixed billing practice. This means that Medicare/private health insurance will only cover a portion of the consult fees. This applies to all appointments (even follow up result consults).
Patients will pay the surcharge amount associated with EFTPOS through payments done at reception or over the phone. This fee will not appear on your invoice but will be deducted automatically along with the invoice amount. Please note that this surcharge will vary, depending on the type of card used.
In order to be eligible for a Medicare rebateable phone consult, you must have seen a doctor face-to-face in the clinic in the past 12 months. Exceptions applies for COVID positive patients. If this criteria is not met, the full fee will be expected without a rebate.
Medicare/Overseas Visitor Health Cover (OVHC) Patient Fees
Please note that there will be a fee increase from 1st July 2025.

These fees are applicable across the whole practice team. Our doctors may choose to bulk bill you despite your concession status/not holding a concession card.
We bulk bill the following patients (applicable for Medicare holders only):
- Children aged 16 and under
- Health Care Card Holders
- Pensioner Concession Card holders
- DVA Card holders
*Note: in order to qualify for bulk bill, please present a valid card to our reception team before/after consult. All other patients are privately billed.
We provide EasyClaim option. Your medicare rebate can be claimed immediately if you present with a physical debit card and tap your card again after payment. It will take some time for you to receive the rebate but it goes back into the card you paid with. Kindly note that rebate cannot go back on credit cards.
If you do not have a physical debit card on you, advise our reception team before paying and we will be able to send the rebate back to your bank account that is recorded on Medicare. If you do not have any bank account recorded, a cheque will be posted to your address and you will to bring the cheque to our practice before we can provide the rebate back to you. Please note that cheques past 6 months of issue might not be accepted.
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) Fees

We have partnerships with BUPA, Allianz, Medibank, NIB and AHM. This means that we are able to claim with these health insurances directly. Private health insurance only covers the Medicare rebate amount, so a $35 gap fee applies to all consults.
Note: OSHC patients who see Dr Timothy Ong will be expected to pay the full gap fees as listed in the first table
Telephone Consults
Phone consult fees apply for all consultation with the doctor over the phone. The gap payment is dependent on whether you are a Medicare/OSHC/OVHC patient. Medicare patients can be eligible to longer phone consults (above 20 minutes) by registering with MyMedicare here.
Saturday Private Billing
Bulk Billed patients and patients with Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) will be expected to pay a minimum of $40 out of pocket for Saturday appointments.
Failure to attend (FTA) fee will be the amount of full missed session.
DVA card holders will be bulk billed for all appointments. Those who are experiencing financial difficulty are asked to discuss their situation with our receptionist or their usual doctor.
Any procedures may incur an additional fee to cover consumables. Check with our friendly receptionist team for more information.
