Medicals & Checkups
If you require a medical or check-up we can help. Our doctors can arrange insurance medicals, driver’s licence medicals, health assessments, medical reviews, annual checkups and a variety of other recommended health check-ups. Just ask!
Our GPs are happy to perform superannuation fund and/or insurance provider-required medicals. Please notify our receptionists when phoning for one of these appointments as they typically require a longer consultation period.
Once an appointment has been made, please come to the Centre at the allocated time with all superannuation fund and/or insurance paperwork. After the assessment, all gathered information is then sent directly to the requesting party.
Driver’s Licence Medicals
If you need a medical to renew or obtain your driver’s licence, we’re more than happy to help. Our team are equipped to carry out driving medical assessments for car, taxi and heavy haulage licences. Do remember to tell the receptionist you’re booking for a driver’s licence medical when you call for your appointment as these appointments tend to take more time than a regular appointment or check up.
Our GPs also offer pensioner driver medicals. Simply contact our friendly receptionist team for an appointment as soon as you have your renewal documentation in hand. Your medical will usually involve a consult with your doctor and an eye test.
The GPs at Queens Park Medical Centre offer the following services:
- Healthy Kids Check for children aged at least 3 years and less than 5 years of age, who have received or who are receiving their 4 year old immunisation.
- type 2 diabetes risk evaluation for people aged 40–49 years (inclusive) with a high risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
- people aged 45–49 years (inclusive) who are at risk of developing chronic disease.

Yearly checkups are a crucial opportunity for the early diagnosis of many illnesses. These are also the optimum environment to promote health education that may prevent the onset of some diseases. Our GPs offer the opportunity for regular checkups to achieve an overview of your health.
